Auzita Sajjadi, OD is a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist with expertise in routine and medical eyecare. She joined Whitsett Vision Group in July of 2025.
Dr. Sajjadi attended the University of Louisiana, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then attended the University of Houston College of Optometry, graduating with both a Master’s Degree in Vision Science and a Doctor of Optometry degree in 2018.
Prior to graduation, Dr. Sajjadi completed internships in community care, ocular surface disease, surgical co-management, and specialty contact lenses, as well as published research regarding the progression of pediatric myopia, or near-sightedness.
Dr. Sajjadi previously worked for several years in a corneal ophthalmology practice, providing care for routine, medical, and specialty contact lens patients. She also participated in post-operative care of LASIK and cataract surgical procedures, as well as co-management of corneal disease.
Dr. Sajjadi is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a member of the American Optometric Association, Optometry Association of Louisiana, Texas Optometry Association, Acadiana Optometric Society, and Harris County Optometric Society. She has served as the President of the Acadiana Optometric Society and was a member of the OAL Board of Directors.
