Open Positions
The supervisor is responsible for maintaining adequate oversight, staffing and service levels to support a high level of personal interaction and satisfaction for the patients of Whitsett Vision Group. This includes the following functions; check-in, check-out, records management and office management for the assigned location. This position is a working leader; will need to be hands-on in all front office functions.
Some Saturday morning work may be required. May occasionally travel to other locations.
Selected Responsibilities:

Manages and performs front office duties, including check-in, check-out, scheduling and records management

Ensures all employees are properly trained and adhere to the performance standards of WVG; coaching, training, correcting and appraising performance

Maintains a professional, high-quality and service-oriented environment at all times

Monitors and maintains office efficiency and manages daily workflow
-
Provides resolution to any patient issues
-
Completes audits on all patient accounts coming in the following day

Provides support to front office and routinely performs front office duties.

Provides assistance to Administration as requested
-
Reviews/approves front office staff time prior to payroll submission

Other special projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications/Experience:
-
High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
-
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a medical office front office; with previous experience in Ophthalmology or Optometry preferred; two (2) years of supervisory experience needed.

Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus

Knowledge of basic medical terminology, medical insurance and the ability to clearly and effectively articulate general plan benefits to patients

Advanced knowledge of NextGen or similar database application

Knowledgeable of Microsoft office software, the Internet and other software products as needed; general office equipment

Basic knowledge of medical insurance and the ability to clearly and effectively articulate general plan benefits to patients

Outstanding customer service skills

Strong oral/written communication skills

Self-starter with a strong ability to set priorities, manage multiple, sometimes competing needs and work well under pressure.

Displays leadership with staff and works independently and as part of WVG team

Willing to “do what is necessary” to maintain high levels of staff, provider and patient satisfaction while upholding practice standards
