Dr. Donald J. Norcini is a therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist. He attended the University of Texas at Austin and The University of Houston, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He received his Doctorate with honors from The University of Houston College of Optometry. While at the University, he completed internships at Fort Carson Army Base in Colorado Springs and Riverside Health Clinic in Houston.
Dr. Norcini has been in practice since 1981, where he counts many of his patients now as being third and even fourth generation patients. He practices all levels of Optometry currently licensed by the State of Texas, which includes general vision exams, contact lenses, including specialty contact lens fits, pediatric vision, and all eye diseases, both external and internal that do not require surgery. As a founding board member of TLC Laser Eye Center of Texas in Houston, he has years of experience in the co-management of laser eye corrections. Cataract co-management is one of the activities that he especially enjoys with his patients.
Dr. Norcini is a member of both the Texas and American Optometric Association, and enjoys enhancing his skills by attending numerous educational seminars to keep himself and his staff up to date. He is married with two adult children, two grandchildren, two Yorkies and two rescue dogs. He enjoys all types of outdoor activities, especially golf, gardening and photography.
